Children are grouped according to their age. At the start of every session they are welcomed and introduced to their group leaders who remain the same each week to provide continuity and promote positive relationships. In my experience, I have found children respond positively to a structured program. The quieter children are not embarrassed or forced into making a decision, and the enthusiasm of the more confident children stimulates the others. Everybody has the opportunity to have a go at what is on offer, the children are encouraged to try new activities and often find themselves enjoying things they have not tried before. Staff are carefully selected, trained and screened to ensure they are able to encourage, lead, stimulate, care for and entertain the children. Additional specialists are employed to supervise swimming and coach archery. All staff are CRB checked in line with OFSTED requirements. |
